TechFlow News — NBA star Michael Jordan and his son Jeffrey have established a new holding company called Heir, planning to launch a consumer-facing community platform named HEIR next year. The platform’s whitelist is now open for applications.
"Heir" (heir.app) is a Web3 community platform designed for athletes and fans. Built on Solana, it will mint the HEIR token. Selected athletes will be able to host their own "gatherings," accessible only to fans who purchase digital tokens tied to those spaces. Community membership grants access to digital perks such as player-curated music playlists, athlete messages, exclusive memorabilia, and more.
The company has secured $10 million in seed funding led by Thrive Capital, with participation from Solana Ventures, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, several NBA players, and Michael Jordan himself. Jeffrey Jordan will lead the company alongside former Nike brand manager Jeron Smith and marketing advisor Daniel George.
