TechFlow news, according to CoinGape, SoftBank is in talks to invest $150 million into the metaverse platform Zepeto, which would value the company at over $1 billion. Zepeto reported 47 million users on its platform this quarter, with 2 million daily active users, and 70% of its user base are females aged 13–24.
Previously, Japanese messaging giant LINE announced a collaboration with the metaverse platform ZEPETO to launch the ZEPETO WORLD Sakura Series 1-12 NFTs on November 25 via LINE's proprietary blockchain, LINE Blockchain. A total of 1,200 NFTs will be issued. Currently, these NFTs are only available to users in Japan and will later be resold on the beta version of the LineBitmax NFT marketplace.
