TechFlow News — The Block's Research Director Larry Cermak took to Twitter to dismiss rumors of an FTX hack, calling them false and urging people not to pay attention. Earlier, around 44,900 BTC had been moving across the Bitcoin blockchain. Transaction details suggest this batch of bitcoin likely originated from a wallet consolidation by FTX. In a tweet, FTX founder SBF explained, "Bitcoin withdrawal processing involves combining UTXOs from deposit addresses and similar sources. A few days ago, we consolidated several UTXOs into one address to speed up processing."
