TechFlow News — According to Cointelegraph, Huobi Global has announced the appointment of Vincent Lau, a seasoned professional in the blockchain industry, as its new Managing Director.
Lau previously held executive roles at cryptocurrency exchanges Bitfinex and OKEx, and has also worked for global companies outside the blockchain sector, including e-commerce marketplace Groupon and marketing firm Iclick Interactive.
Lau will primarily oversee Huobi Global’s international expansion, strategic development, and localization operations. In a statement, Huobi expressed its intention to expand its presence in key markets such as Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the European Union. Additionally, he will supervise Huobi’s initiatives in advancing DeFi and lead the overseas development of the company’s smart contract platform, Huobi ECO Chain (HECO), while driving adoption of its native token HT.
