TechFlow News, according to Coindesk, the Russian Ministry of Labor has notified federal and local government officials that they are prohibited from holding cryptocurrency and must dispose of any holdings by April 1. The letter states that government officials at both the federal and local levels in Russia—including members of the Central Bank board, chairpersons of state-owned enterprises, as well as their spouses and minor children—are not allowed to own cryptocurrencies issued abroad. This directive aims to prevent corruption.
