TechFlow News, January 10 — In a post on Hive, a fork of the Steem blockchain, an account believed to be Daniel Larimer (BM), founder of EOS, announced that he has stepped down as Chief Technology Officer of Block.one. "As of December 31, 2020, I have resigned from my role as CTO at block.one," the post stated. "I remain committed to building free markets that secure life, liberty, property, and justice for all. I'm not yet certain what's next, but I'm leaning toward developing more censorship-resistant technologies. My focus will be on creating tools people can use to safeguard their own freedom."
The account, named "DAN," was registered in 2016 and has 15,529 followers. Members of the HIVE community have flooded the comments with messages of gratitude and well-wishes.
In March 2018, rumors circulated that EOS founder Daniel Larimer (BM) would leave his position after the EOS mainnet launch, but those claims were later debunked.
