TechFlow news, December 28 — The White House confirmed that Trump has signed the $900 billion coronavirus relief package and government funding bill. Trump stated he signed the bill while indicating that "wasteful projects" would be removed; the House is set to vote on Monday to increase direct payments to $2,000; Congress has already committed to reviewing Section 230.
Last week, the bill passed Congress with overwhelming bipartisan support, but Trump opposed it, demanding that lawmakers raise direct payments to Americans from $600 to $2,000 per eligible adult and child for individuals earning under $75,000 adjusted gross income. Under pressure from bipartisan members of Congress, he ultimately signed the legislation. (Wenhua Finance)
