TechFlow news, on November 17, according to an official AMA, blockchain-based shared service platform ShareRing announced a collaboration with Tencent Holdings to integrate ShareRing's distributed ledger technology with Tencent Cloud's optical character recognition (OCR) technology. The partnership aims to support the struggling tourism industry through new digital document and identity management solutions. The initiative will first launch in Southeast Asia. In a joint statement, Tencent and ShareRing expressed their goal of helping Southeast Asian countries "reopen tourism borders and recover from economic setbacks."
Driven by this positive development, its token SHR surged over 70% on KuCoin exchange.
