TechFlow news — On October 29, at the "Web3 Summit" hosted by the Web3 Foundation, Zou Chuanwei, economist at Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, stated that as of the end of August 2020, DC/EP had been piloted in over 6,700 scenarios nationwide, covering areas such as utility payments, dining services, transportation, shopping consumption, and government services. A total of 113,300 personal wallets and 8,859 corporate wallets had been opened, recording more than 3.12 million transactions with a total transaction value exceeding 1.1 billion yuan. The system supports multiple payment methods including barcode payments, facial recognition payments, and tap-to-pay.
