TechFlow news, according to the Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily, the agent lawyer of cryptocurrency trading platform OKEx revealed that the platform has filed a lawsuit against Sichuan-based user Deng Mouming, demanding the return of several bitcoins "stolen" from the OKEx platform. The case was officially accepted on July 25 by the Dujiangyan City People's Court in Sichuan Province. According to the agent lawyer, on November 14, 2019, Deng exploited a brief technical glitch in OKEx’s system, using multiple controlled accounts to convert a certain amount of low-value digital currency into an equivalent quantity of bitcoin, which he then transferred into his own accounts. By the time of litigation, this incident had caused OKEx losses amounting to millions of yuan.
Who is the plaintiff initiating the lawsuit? It was learned that since OKEx’s operating entity, Aux Cayes Fintech Co. Ltd. (referred to as "Aux Company"), is an overseas company, this litigation has been entrusted to a domestic legal team in China to pursue legal action against Deng Mouming and recover the related losses.
