On July 30, 2020, Binance's Sisi interviewed Zou Yongcheng, Global CEO of RRMine (Everyone's Mining Farm), live on air. During the livestream, Zou shared his views on IPFS as an industry practitioner and offered insights into future directions for mining industry布局. Zou stated that IPFS will enable users to move away from reliance on centralized services and realize a sharing economy.
Zou believes the essential difference between IPFS and HTTP lies in their data storage logic. Traditional centralized storage via HTTP expands channel capacity to accommodate growing information, leading to higher scaling costs and increasingly chaotic data. In contrast, IPFS uses content-based tagging and classification, enables large file storage through distributed architecture, and leverages blockchain technology to improve scalability and reduce costs.
Regarding cloud computing platforms布局 in IPFS, Zou emphasized that core competitiveness hinges on four key factors: technical capability, scale, operations & maintenance expertise, and ecosystem development. He added that while the mining industry has become more centralized compared to the past, this can be described as "weak centralization." Connecting different mining pools and farms in a tribal federation model reflects the true nature of blockchain and better aligns with the evolution of human society.
