TechFlow News, July 29, SlowMist Security Team stated that MistEye discovered a recruitment scam campaign targeting Web3 practitioners. Attackers impersonated recruiters, inducing victims to install a malicious application disguised as the AI meeting tool "Relay".
The malware affects macOS and Windows users, primarily stealing sensitive data such as browser credentials, wallet-related information, keychain data, Telegram sessions, etc. SlowMist has completed analysis of the sample and disclosed the construction method of this attack chain.
The security team reminded users to remain cautious when installing software during remote interviews or recruitment processes, avoid running unverified applications, and pay attention to reviewing abnormal installation requests or system password prompts.
