TechFlow news, July 23: According to Reuters, driven by the demand for AI data center construction, Intel and AMD are signing longer-term server CPU procurement agreements with Chinese server customers, with some agreements exceeding a term of two years to lock in procurement volume, but prices are typically not fixed.

The report noted that AI infrastructure demand has expanded from graphics processors to server CPUs, storage, network equipment, and memory, among other fields; prices for some server CPU products in China have risen by more than 40% within the year, with some products seeing monthly increases exceeding 10%. In addition, delivery cycles for some Intel Xeon server CPUs have been extended to up to 6 months.
