TechFlow reports, on July 20, Coinbase Co-founder and CEO Brian Armstrong posted a response to recent controversies surrounding his profile picture change and insufficient support for the Base community. He clearly stated that his personal Twitter account is solely used for sharing personal interests and does not constitute any investment advice or project endorsement, and reminded users not to treat his account updates as trading signals.
Regarding Base ecosystem support, Armstrong explained that Coinbase cannot list certain tokens due to compliance and regulatory reasons, and the team will not actively endorse specific projects. Currently, Base support methods include: the offline Base Batches incubation program, ecosystem funds and Coinbase Ventures investments, as well as integrating high-quality Base DeFi protocols into Coinbase products.
