TechFlow news, July 14, according to Reuters, Malaysia's Ministry of Home Affairs stated that it is investigating a "Network State" tech commune founded by former Coinbase Chief Technology Officer Balaji Srinivasan. The project is located in Forest City, Johor, where previous social media allegations claimed that the commune hosted Israeli personnel who entered holding non-Israeli passports.
Malaysian authorities will focus on verifying the identity and nationality of relevant personnel, the legality of travel documents, and the purpose of entry, while simultaneously reviewing whether the project complies with local regulations regarding permits, building usage, and business activities.
