TechFlow reports, on July 13, YC partner and Monzo co-founder Tom Blomfield announced he is temporarily leaving YC to join Anthropic. He will work with co-founder Tom Brown and be responsible for compute-related work.
He stated that powerful AI is expected to improve global human life, and with the advent of the early stages of recursive self-improvement, compute availability is becoming one of the most critical challenges to be addressed.
