TechFlow news, July 01, according to The Block, ENS co-founder Nick Johnson voted against the on-chain executable vote for the renewal of the ENS DAO Security Council, causing the proposal to be currently blocked with 82% "against" votes. Johnson holds approximately 3.26 million ENS tokens, accounting for approximately 80% of the votes cast in this voting, and approximately 50% of all delegated ENS tokens.
Johnson stated that his vote reflects substantial concerns regarding the composition of the current committee members, rather than governance manipulation, and pointed out that "current Security Council members have explicitly stated they will use their veto power to block proposals they personally disagree with". The voting will officially close on July 5.
