TechFlow news, on June 29, Bybit announced in a statement that to advance regulatory compliance, it will carry out operational and structural adjustments in the European Economic Area and gradually restrict residents of the European Economic Area from accessing certain services of Bybit Global. Affected users will receive clear notice regarding the timeline for handling existing and new positions before the measures are implemented, and custodied assets within accounts will remain accessible as normal. The announcement also pointed out that residents of Malta are not included in this adjustment; in addition, Bybit EU currently operates through an entity authorized under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) and is applying for additional licenses in Austria to cover a broader range of products.
