TechFlow News, June 21: In response to recent community skepticism toward the Ethereum Foundation—including rumors of a potential funding crisis—Zach Pandl, Head of Research at Grayscale, posted on X stating that, in the long term, the Ethereum Foundation’s ongoing institutional restructuring carries positive implications for Ethereum. He cited two primary reasons: First, more development work will shift to commercial organizations, reducing the Foundation’s direct development responsibilities and potentially accelerating ecosystem-wide efficiency through greater commercial involvement. Second, the structural realignment helps uphold Ethereum’s foundational principles as digital currency infrastructure; a Foundation with clearer mandates and a more focused scope may better ensure Ethereum’s continued adherence to the “CROPS” principles essential for building sound digital currencies.
If the Ethereum Foundation reduces its direct involvement in ecosystem development and instead concentrates on safeguarding Ethereum’s long-term core objectives, this could reinforce ETH’s positioning as decentralized digital asset infrastructure.
