TechFlow News, June 16: Lin Jian, spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presided over the regular press conference. A journalist asked about the first-phase memorandum of understanding (MoU) reached between Iran and the U.S., as well as navigation issues in the Strait of Hormuz. Lin Jian stated that China has noted the first-phase MoU reached between Iran and the U.S., which includes provisions on reopening the Strait. The Strait of Hormuz is an international strait used for navigation; restoring its safe and free passage as soon as possible serves the interests of all parties concerned. China stands ready to maintain communication with relevant countries and the international community on this matter. China will continue to fully safeguard the safety of Chinese-funded vessels and Chinese seafarers. (Jinshi)
