TechFlow News, June 03: According to an official announcement, Tether has partnered with Fasset, a digital banking and investment platform, to launch the world’s first gold-backed Visa card.
Users can make fiat currency payments at merchants worldwide via the Visa network and earn up to 6% cashback in XAU₮ on eligible transactions. The card also enables automatic micro-investment of transaction change into XAU₮. During transactions, users can convert XAU₮ into USD₮, then into fiat currency for payment completion.
Tether stated it will allocate up to $1 million worth of XAU₮ to build the card’s rewards program.
