TechFlow reports that on May 28, Jefferies stated, following its inaugural Digital Assets Investor Conference, that publicly listed crypto- and blockchain-related companies are likely to increase over the next two years as Wall Street and the payments industry accelerate adoption of digital asset infrastructure. This sector is expected to grow into a $1 trillion public market within five years.
Jefferies noted that institutional investors are shifting their focus from Bitcoin price speculation to integrating blockchain infrastructure—specifically tokenized money market funds, private credit, blockchain settlement networks, stablecoins, and tokenized payments. The firm also indicated that a clearer regulatory framework could further drive institutional adoption.
