TechFlow News, May 27: According to a report by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency on May 27, Brujedi, a member of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, stated that any final agreement signed with the United States must align with Iran’s national interests. Brujedi said that, under the preliminary draft agreement between Iran and the U.S., the first step for the U.S. would be to commit to a comprehensive 60-day ceasefire across all fronts—including Lebanon.
The draft agreement also calls for unfreezing the majority of Iran’s frozen assets and lifting the maritime blockade. Brujedi emphasized that Iran’s diplomatic institutions and national system will not make decisions based on U.S. President Trump’s social media posts. For Iran, what matters is the ultimate outcome of negotiations; any document ultimately signed will be formulated strictly within the red lines of Iran’s political system and must serve the interests of the Iranian people and the nation.
