TechFlow News, May 25: According to a Reuters report, Indonesia’s Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs announced on May 25 that it had blocked the prediction market platform Polymarket for violating online gambling regulations. Previously, on May 21, the platform launched betting on when Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto would “resign early,” sparking widespread attention across Indonesian social media. The Indonesian government stated that Polymarket’s activities “involve wagering and speculative behavior on uncertain events,” contravening local laws, and has initiated a review of all social media accounts associated with the platform.
