TechFlow news: On May 18, Tether announced its investment in cross-border financial platform LemFi to promote stablecoin-powered remittance services in emerging markets and expand financial service accessibility. According to disclosures, LemFi plans to integrate USDT into its core remittance channel as a settlement layer—replacing traditional multi-day SWIFT settlement processes with near-instant, low-cost alternatives across select markets in Africa and Asia. Tether stated that this investment will also support LemFi’s expansion of stablecoin infrastructure and its gradual rollout across a broader product suite.
