TechFlow reports that Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Circle, posted on X, citing a lengthy article by legal expert Aaron Wright, expressing willingness to invest in infrastructure supporting AI agents—built using the Circle Agent Stack + Arc—that operate as independent legal entities. He explicitly stated, “I am very willing to support such teams.”
In his article, Aaron Wright details how existing U.S. LLC law (specifically zero-member LLCs combined with the Bayern mechanism) can be leveraged to grant AI agents legal personhood, enabling truly autonomous “agent commerce”: owning assets, entering contracts, litigating and being held liable, and persisting indefinitely—all without reliance on human principals or new legislation.
