TechFlow News: On the 16th, Ibrahim Aziz, Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Iran’s Islamic Parliament, posted on social media stating that Iran has established a professional mechanism to manage navigation along designated shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz. This mechanism will soon be officially announced.
Aziz emphasized that the mechanism was developed within Iran’s national sovereignty framework to safeguard the security of international trade; only commercial vessels and related parties cooperating with Iran will benefit from it, and necessary fees will be charged for professional services. The shipping lane will be closed to operators under the so-called “freedom initiative.”
