In response on social media, Musk said: “Yes, I need to ensure SpaceX remains focused on its mission of making humanity a multiplanetary species and extending consciousness to the stars—not on catering to quarterly earnings bonuses for certain individuals. If SpaceX successfully achieves this extraordinarily difficult goal, its value will dwarf the entire Earth’s economy by several orders of magnitude.
