TechFlow News, May 15: Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, stated in New Delhi on Friday that Tehran “has no trust” in the United States and would only consider negotiations with Washington if it demonstrates a “serious attitude.” Speaking on the sidelines of the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, he said Iran is striving to maintain the current ceasefire to create space for diplomatic efforts. According to multiple media reports, Araghchi emphasized Iran’s long-standing lack of trust in the U.S. and noted that any communication under the current circumstances hinges on whether the U.S. exhibits a “serious and credible stance.” He added that Iran still hopes to preserve the ceasefire to leave room for future diplomatic engagement and de-escalation.
