TechFlow News, May 13: According to CME’s “FedWatch,” markets currently price in over a 30% probability of a rate hike before December. Following the unexpectedly strong U.S. April PPI data, markets now find it nearly impossible for the Federal Reserve to justify any interest-rate cuts this year. The April PPI rose by 1.4%, significantly higher than the consensus economist forecast of 0.5%, indicating stronger-than-expected inflationary pressure and reinforcing the market trend of repricing the interest-rate path.
