TechFlow News reported that on Monday morning, May 11, local time, Trump stated he had watched CBS News’ “60 Minutes” interview with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, calling the program “quite good.” However, he disagreed with Netanyahu’s claim that “no one could have fully foreseen Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.” Trump responded: “I could foresee it. I knew they would close the strait. It’s their only weapon. Now it’s no longer much of a weapon, but it remains their only weapon.” He added that the U.S. could have kept the strait open via Operation Earnest Will—had it not previously assisted certain countries and responded to related requests. He further noted that, if necessary, the U.S. could restart a similar operation—or even adopt “tougher measures.” (Jinshi)
