TechFlow News: On May 9, according to Xinhua News Agency, U.S. President Trump stated at the White House on May 8 that the United States may resume the “Freedom Operation,” an initiative aimed at facilitating the passage of vessels stranded in the Strait of Hormuz. He also said he expected to receive Iran’s response that evening to the U.S.-Iran agreement proposal put forward by the United States. Trump remarked that he considered the “Freedom Operation” a good idea but added, “There are other solutions as well.” If no progress is made, the U.S. side may restart the “Freedom Operation.” However, he noted, “That would be the ‘upgraded Freedom Operation’—meaning additional measures beyond those in the original plan.”
