TechFlow News, May 6: According to a Financial Times report cited by JIN10, Meta Platforms (META.O) is building a highly personalized AI assistant to perform everyday tasks. At the same time, the company faces investor scrutiny over its soaring AI expenditures. Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Meta is developing agent-based tools for its more than 3 billion users—including an advanced digital assistant powered by the new Muse Spark AI model.
A person familiar with the project stated that the assistant is currently undergoing internal testing by a team of employees. Another insider indicated that the goal is to develop a product similar to OpenClaw, which allows users to create AI “agents” that autonomously perform tasks on their behalf. A source acquainted with the initiative noted that Meta aims to let users share highly sensitive information—such as health and financial data—with its smaller assistants, provided users opt in to sharing. However, some question whether consumers will be willing to do so.
