TechFlow News, May 5: According to CME’s “FedWatch,” the probability that the Federal Reserve will hold interest rates steady through June is 95.2%, while the probability of a cumulative 25-basis-point rate cut is 4.8%. The probability of holding rates steady through July stands at 92.2%, with a 7.7% chance of a cumulative 25-basis-point cut and a 0.2% chance of a cumulative 50-basis-point cut. By September, the probability of holding rates steady is 86.1%, while the probabilities of cumulative cuts of 25 and 50 basis points are 13.2% and 0.6%, respectively.
