TechFlow News, April 19: Security measures have been heightened in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital. Some shops have closed, traffic has been partially restricted, and police presence has been reinforced around several hotels. According to local Pakistani sources, three aircraft carrying U.S. personnel landed at Nur Khan Air Base that day. Shops along both sides of the road connecting Islamabad and Nur Khan Air Base have shut down, and military and police security forces have been deployed more heavily around several major hotels in the city. Meanwhile, the Serena Hotel—the venue of the previous round of U.S.-Iran negotiations—and the nearby Marriott Hotel have instructed their guests to check out on the same day. (Xinhua News Agency)
