TechFlow News reports that Iran’s Tasnim News Agency stated on the 12th that, as the U.S. failed to achieve its objectives in negotiations, certain Western media outlets have begun disseminating “false narratives” regarding the atmosphere of the Iran-U.S. talks held in Islamabad.
The report notes that only the Iranian and U.S. negotiation teams, along with Pakistani officials, were present inside the Serena Hotel; no media personnel were permitted entry. Consequently, reports claiming “intense clashes inside the conference room” or “handshakes between delegation members” are entirely fabricated by the U.S. side to mask its “repeated failures and weak position” at the negotiating table.
According to earlier reports by Iranian media citing informed sources, the Iran-U.S. Islamabad talks have yielded no substantive progress since their commencement, due to the U.S. side’s “exorbitant demands.” Some Western media outlets, aiming to influence international energy prices, are exaggerating the so-called “positive atmosphere” surrounding the negotiations.
Although expert-level negotiations have made some headway, serious disagreements persist between the two sides on multiple issues, including the Strait of Hormuz. (Xinhua News Agency)
