TechFlow News: On April 7, TRM Labs disclosed that Indonesian authorities recently convicted three defendants of financing terrorism using cryptocurrency—a landmark case in Southeast Asia where on-chain blockchain evidence served as the primary basis for the conviction. According to reports, one defendant transferred over 49,000 USDT across 15 transactions to overseas exchanges, with the funds linked to networks associated with ISIS. None of the three defendants directly participated in terrorist attacks; instead, they were classified as part of the “financial logistics layer” supporting terrorist organizations.
