TechFlow News: On April 1, the Ministry of Public Security dispatched a task force that successfully repatriated Li Xiong, a core member of the Chen Zhi criminal syndicate, from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This marks another major achievement in China-Cambodia law enforcement cooperation. Investigations revealed that Li Xiong formerly served as chairman of Huiwang Group, a subsidiary of Tai Zi Group, and is suspected of operating illegal gambling dens, fraud, unlawful business operations, and concealing or disguising proceeds of crime. Li Xiong has now been placed under compulsory measures in accordance with the law, and the case is under further investigation. A relevant official from the Ministry of Public Security stated that multiple core members of the Chen Zhi criminal syndicate have already been apprehended, and public security organs will continue to intensify efforts to capture all fugitives.
