Kanaani stated that Iran is not responsible for the current situation and does not wish for people in other countries to bear pressure from rising fuel or food prices. He also emphasized that Iran is currently managing maritime passage through the Strait of Hormuz—ensuring safety while allowing vessels not belonging to hostile parties to transit.
