TechFlow News: On March 28, crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett reported that staff from U.S. Senator Thom Tillis’s (R-NC) office revealed the office plans to publicly release detailed legislative text on stablecoin yield/reward terms next week, and is currently engaged in ongoing consultations with stakeholders.
This move follows dissatisfaction expressed by Coinbase and other crypto industry stakeholders regarding parameters of a draft proposal that was shared in a limited scope earlier this week. David Duong, Global Head of Investment Research at Coinbase, stated that industry leaders are now developing a coordinated counterproposal “to explain why targeted amendments are needed to protect customers and sustain viable reward programs.”
