TechFlow News, March 25: According to JINSHI Data, six months after the high-profile launch of its standalone Sora application, OpenAI has announced it will discontinue the video-generation service to streamline its AI product portfolio. This decision comes as OpenAI prepares for a potential IPO later this year, with the company aiming to focus its efforts on enterprise-grade products. OpenAI’s Chief Financial Officer stated: “We must build a company that is ready for public listing.” With Sora’s shutdown, OpenAI will also terminate its partnership with Disney, which was announced in December last year.
