TechFlow News, March 24: Multicoin Capital announced the promotion of Spencer Applebaum and Shayon Sengupta to General Partners and Co-Heads of Venture Investing. Applebaum has been with the firm for over eight years, and Sengupta for five years. Both have led or participated in key investments including Solana, Helium, Hyperliquid, and Jito, and have played deep roles in strategic planning, portfolio construction, and external representation. Multicoin Capital stated that this promotion formally recognizes their long-standing de facto responsibilities as GPs, and the firm will continue to focus on frontier sectors such as DeFi, DePIN, and AI–crypto convergence.
