This historic tweet has been archived by the Computer History Museum and officially recognized by Guinness World Records as a standalone record; its NFT version sold for approximately $2.9 million in 2021, further cementing its status as an internet historical artifact.
Since then, Twitter has undergone several major transformations: following Elon Musk’s acquisition, it was rebranded as X; X was subsequently merged into xAI, which in turn became part of SpaceX. Today, X retains strong influence among core user groups such as the technology industry, yet faces growing competitive pressure from Bluesky and Threads, Meta’s social platform.
