TechFlow News, March 12: On March 12, Iran’s newly appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, delivered his first public address via state television. The speech primarily addressed domestic unity in Iran, external conflicts, regional relations, and mourning for the late leader Ali Khamenei. Regarding the current situation, Mojtaba Khamenei expressed gratitude to the Iranian military and the armed forces of the “Resistance Front,” stating that Iranian soldiers had thwarted enemies’ attempts to seize control of or divide Iran.
He further stated that Iran would continue employing strategic measures—including the potential closure of the Strait of Hormuz—and would open new fronts if necessary. On regional developments, he called on neighboring countries to shut down U.S.-utilized military bases on their soil, emphasizing that Iran’s strikes would target only relevant military facilities—not the countries themselves. He also stressed that Iran remains committed to maintaining friendly relations with its neighbors. (Jinshi)
