TechFlow News: On March 8, according to The Paper, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s Cybersecurity Threats and Vulnerabilities Information Sharing Platform recently issued a security alert regarding risks associated with the open-source AI agent OpenClaw. Monitoring revealed that certain instances of OpenClaw (commonly known as “Lobster”) pose significant security risks under default or misconfigured settings, making them highly susceptible to cyberattacks and data breaches. Relevant organizations and users are advised to thoroughly assess public network exposure, permission configurations, and credential management when deploying and using OpenClaw; disable unnecessary public network access; enhance security mechanisms—including identity authentication, access control, data encryption, and security auditing—and continuously monitor official security advisories and hardening recommendations to mitigate potential cybersecurity risks.
