TechFlow News: On March 6, Virtuals Protocol announced the launch of “Base Batches 003: Robotics,” an initiative aimed at advancing embodied robotics within its ecosystem.
According to the announcement, Virtuals has long been dedicated to building Agent GDP (aGDP)—enabling agents to perform real-world tasks, settle payments, and achieve compounding growth through open markets. Virtuals views embodied AI as the next frontier. While robotics technology holds immense potential, it currently lacks foundational structural elements such as identity, permissions, and payment capabilities—elements critical to moving robotic systems beyond closed environments and enabling large-scale deployment. This initiative supports developers building these functional layers on Base, encouraging builders to create robot agents, robot data pipelines, or robot-to-agent workflows using ACP.
The “Base Batches 003: Robotics” program is now open for applications, with a deadline of March 20, 2026. Selected participants will receive mentorship, up to $50,000 in funding, and the opportunity to participate in the San Francisco Demo Day.
Base’s official account retweeted the announcement, stating that “robots combined with autonomous agents are one of the most exciting frontiers in technology.”
