TechFlow News, March 4: According to Techinasia, Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Naveen Mallela as Global Head of Payments. Mallela will officially assume the role on May 4, 2026. He will be based in Singapore and report to Mahesh Kini, Global Head of Cash Management at Standard Chartered Bank.
In his new role, Mallela will lead a global team integrating collections, clearing, and payments, responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end payment lifecycle solutions—including both traditional payments and emerging tokenized and on-chain payment processes.
Prior to this appointment, Mallela served as Global Co-Head of Kinexys (formerly Onyx) at JPMorgan Chase, the bank’s permissioned blockchain business unit focused on real-time, 24/7 cross-border payments and digital asset settlement.
