TechFlow News: On March 3, according to a Cointelegraph report, Moonlock Lab, a cybersecurity firm, released a new report revealing that hackers are employing a “ClickFix” attack method to impersonate venture capital firms and conduct cryptocurrency scams. The attackers pose as VC firms such as SolidBit and contact potential victims via LinkedIn, directing them to click on fake meeting links and execute malicious code.
Meanwhile, the Chrome extension “QuickLens” has been hijacked to steal cryptocurrency wallet data and seed phrases. The “ClickFix” technique is especially dangerous because it tricks users into executing malicious commands themselves—bypassing conventional security protections. Security experts warn that such attacks have targeted multiple industries since 2024 and affect thousands of devices worldwide daily.
