Earlier on Friday, Trump and Defense Secretary Hegseth threatened to sever Anthropic’s ties with numerous customers via a “supply chain risk” designation—a measure historically reserved for “foreign adversaries.” In its statement, Anthropic declared: “No intimidation or punishment from the ‘War Department’ will alter our stance against mass surveillance or fully autonomous weapons.” “We will legally challenge any supply chain risk designation.” (Jinshi)
