TechFlow news: On February 24, according to SEC filings, iShares, a subsidiary of BlackRock, filed an amendment to its S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF. This ETF will primarily hold Ethereum and generate rewards by staking a portion of its Ethereum holdings.
Per the filing, the trust will appoint Coinbase Custody Trust Company as its Ethereum custodian and enter into a staking services agreement with Coinbase Inc. Under normal market conditions, the trust intends to stake 70%–95% of its Ethereum assets while retaining a portion of non-staked Ethereum as a liquidity reserve to meet redemption requests. The ETF will be listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the ticker symbol “ETHB.”
